He began his academic career in March 2013 as a research assistant in the Department of Anatomy, İzmir Katip Çelebi University Faculty of Medicine. In March 2015, he was appointed a research assistant in the Department of Anatomy, Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. He completed his Ph.D. in Anatomy in December 2017.
In February 2018, he continued his post‑doctoral studies as a visiting researcher in the Anatomy and Micro‑Computed Tomography Laboratories of Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry, focusing on head, neck, bone, and dental anatomy. In 2019, supported by a TÜBİTAK Post‑Doctoral Research Fellowship, he was a post‑doctoral researcher in the Orthopaedic Biomechanics Laboratory at Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, Ohio, USA). Since 2020, he has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Basic Medical Sciences, Faculty of Dentistry, Ankara University, teaching anatomy courses.
